27 Aug BK Magazine – Senior Writer
BK wants you. Maybe. It all depends, really. BK Magazine is looking for a senior writer to write, shoot, and interview all across our beloved Big Mango. BK Magazine is the Bangkok publication that does things differently, so here’s your chance to get paid to eat at Bangkok’s finest restaurants, drink the best cocktails, and generally just be pretty smug about what you do for a living.
Responsibilities:
– Write features and short news for BK Magazine.
– Report from Bangkok current events and explore new food and nightlife venues.
– Conduct interviews with personalities around Bangkok.
– Create short-form videos for BK Magazine’s social media.
– Expand BK coverage across food, nightlife, music, fashion, theater, literature, and all forms of lifestyle.
– Assist in the writing, production, and publication of Top Tables, The BAD Awards, and other BK events.
Requirements:
– Proven success with lifestyle writing and publishing in English.
– Thai nationality.
-Able to work with a team to write articles and collaborate on published material.
– Knowledge of Bangkok’s lifestyle scene, including food, nightlife, and music.
– Able to work actively with social media to keep BK’s readers interested and engaged.
– Experience with photography and videography is a plus but not required.
– Able to stay up-to-date with the latest issues and events affecting Bangkok.
Perks:
– Eat and drink at the best venues in town and get paid to do it.
– Flexible office hours because we’d rather be elsewhere and fluorescent lights are gauche.
– Support from designers and producers to make the best work possible.
– Building a wide range of contacts across lifestyle sectors.
– Occasional out-of-town trips and hotel stays for travel stories.
– Competitive salary.
If this sounds like you, contact info@bkmagazine.com. The two big rules of BK Magazine are 1) Don’t be wrong and 2) Don’t be boring. So, when you send us your CV and writing clips, let us know a little bit about who you are and what you want to write about, and put “Ain’t no party like a BK party” in the subject line.
